Doing just a hot section on that airplane would be throwing money away. I suppose if you were going to keep it forever, maybe you might consider that, but it would make no financial sense.
Why? Because any buyer is going to assume that they're going to have to do an overhaul immediately and price the airplane that way. Whereas, if you overhaul the engine, if you go to sell it in the next 1000 hours, you'll get most of your money back.
The smarter thing to do would be to either buy a mid-time engine, or get a rental engine.
The rest of the airplane looks pretty good, though. The panel and avionics are old, and that's a minus. But the price reflects that.
