The unicorn. Bruce?
« on: December 18, 2020, 08:03:55 pm »
Any chance we could see pictures of the unicorn Bruce. Has it sold? Is it like a time capsule?

The -10 840 in Alaska looks like it needs some TLC. $675,000?  What are your thoughts on it?

Interesting paint scheme on the "unicorn" if it still has it. Flightaware has some higher resolution pictures, although they are 12 years old.

What's unicorn about it?
Slumming it in the turboprop world - so you don't have to.

“The Unicorn! Low time, one owner, low time -10T engines, late model, long range fuel!  Midwest Based and Service Center Maintenance Since New by Byerly Aviation!  Details & Photos coming soon ... if it lasts!  (Subject to prior sale)”

I was hoping Bruce would chime in and share more photos and tell us more about it since he probably wrote the description for the ad on Controller.

I bet it refers to the fact that it has been maintained by Byerly since new. Not many airplanes can say that, or that they've been maintained by a single service center since new.

Sorry guys. That one sold (not quite yet closed) to the first one who looked at it.  I think they were impressed and commented that they need to bring all of their planes in to have us run them through the shop.  The trouble is keeping up these days.

Eric, I would look at N835CC. True, it's not -10 but it's very late and has an impeccable history. And -5 will keep the price down a bit.

N835CC is a good one.  Should close soon!

I want to know if it still has the super retro paint scheme! How about some pictures, Bruce?

Completely unrelated, but love the classic 20 series Learjets.  Great one below of the LH28 record breaker.

We owned it for a few years as dealer then yes, original owner since “new.” I painted in probably 25 years ago and it still shines and looks great as the Byerly Aviation Imron jobs have held up beyond any reasonable expectation so we are just taking the window trim off and letting the rest of the 1000 scheme carry on.  Flags from an around the world trip some years ago.
