Looking for 500B
« on: November 27, 2016, 04:37:03 pm »
Hi,

New at this board. Currently own a Baron 58 but looking for more space. If anyone knows of a unadvertised 60's 500b for sale or trade. My ideal aircraft would be less than 150k, mid time engines and an autopilot. Not too concerned about the interior or exterior.

Thanks for your help.

Boris.

I hope you find one.   I've got a '64 500B and love it!   It's a great plane!

Good luck.

Welcome and we do hope you find one.  Would be nice to have more flying planes and pilots here.

Let us know if you have any questions on ones you do find and I'm sure we can help out.

Boris,

There was a discussion about buying a 500B under "Buying A Twin Commander" from July.  Not sure if the particular aircraft is still on the market, but there is info on it in that particular discussion.

Did I say I love my 500B??  ;-))  Oh yes, I think I did.  Just need to get it back from its Annual and find somewhere to go!

Ed,  You're always welcome here in GA at 62GA.  Have a bed and kitchen right here in the hanger where you can stay.  There are ejection policies in place though as most people that come here don't want to leave. :-)  Oh, and you can bring the wife too.

Cool!

Bruce, tell me a little about your 500B, please.  And, some pics, too?  Other than my own and the ones belonging to Central Airlines, I don't ever see any 500B's.  Also, where do you keep her?

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Ed - this one doesn't belong to me but I will put up a post as soon as Boris has a chance to respond.

Boris,
I have a 1964 500B with 400 hour wide case engines.  Had not thought about selling it til I read your post.
